On October 19, 2012, during the second International Symposium on Gait and Balance in Portland, OR, MS Neurologist and Rehabilitation specialists gathered to review preliminary findings on how the WalkAide impacts clinical outcomes with home intervention in as little as two weeks. The preliminary data suggests that use of the WalkAide® FES system as a neuroprosthesis over a period of time as short as two weeks can significantly improve gait speed, decrease the impact of MS on walking ability and improve Quality of Life.
