WalkAide wearer Debbie Gomez-Trost will be featured as a guest on the Montel
Show on Tuesday, April 17th. Titled “Faces of MS”, tomorrow’s show will explore
the personal stories of overcoming adversity by people battling multiple
sclerosis. Montel was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999 and is dedicated
to raising awareness and looking for a cure.
A 42-year-old mother of triplets and former microbiologist with the
Department of Agriculture, Debbie was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in June
2005. As a result of the disease, she suffers from paralysis in her arms and
legs. She struggles just to walk, and she certainly couldn’t keep up with her
kids – Cole, Jacob, and Mackenzie – who were only 7-years-old when she was
diagnosed. Now, two years later, while she still suffers from MS, Debbie is able
to walk more normally and keep up with her triplets, thanks to the WalkAide.
Tune in tomorrow to see the rest of Debbie’s inspirational story. Be sure to
check your local listings for time and station.
